This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Develop, execute, and oversee the University’s policies regarding export control and knowledge security.
• Provide guidance to researchers and staff on export control regulations in Switzerland, the EU, and the U.S.
• Assist in the classification of controlled goods and technologies while coordinating license applications with SECO.
• Establish and oversee compliance protocols in accordance with the Nagoya Protocol.
• Offer advice on due diligence, notification, and documentation obligations related to genetic resources.
• Organize training sessions and awareness initiatives focused on export control, knowledge security, and Nagoya compliance.
• Keep track of legislative changes and ensure clear compliance reporting.
• Deliver legal and regulatory advice to researchers, administrative units, and institutional stakeholders.
• Master’s degree in Law from Switzerland or an equivalent qualification.
• Expertise in export control law and international regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience with compliance systems and regulatory reporting processes.
• Exceptional communication and training abilities.
• Ability to work independently, with a structured and collaborative approach.
• Proficient in English, with knowledge of either French or German.
