Kinaxis Maestro Functional Consultant – Limited Travel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as the functional subject matter expert in Information Technology for Demand Planning and Supply Planning processes across North America.

• Cultivate and sustain a comprehensive understanding of planning decisions, business rules, planning horizons, master data, KPIs, data ownership, decision rights, handoffs, and standard work.

• Convert business process requirements into functional needs, solution alternatives, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.

• Function as the internal technology expert for Kinaxis Maestro, encompassing planning models, workbooks, dashboards, task flows, scorecards, control tables, alerts, scenarios, business rules, master data dependencies, integrations, reporting, and user experience.

• Lead or assist in functional design initiatives and evaluate Kinaxis solution designs and configurations for approval.

• Assess the capabilities and releases of Kinaxis products and recommend their adoption when they offer measurable benefits.

• Collaborate with architects, data and integration teams, security, delivery teams, and application teams regarding cross-system impacts and compliance with enterprise standards.

• Offer functional leadership throughout discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, stabilization, and ongoing improvement.

• Create or review functional documentation, process flows, solution decisions, configuration documentation, testing evidence, release documentation, support procedures, and materials for knowledge transfer.

• Provide functional leadership for complex production incidents and recurring issues, ensuring that corrective actions address root causes.

• Oversee managed-service providers and implementation partners by evaluating estimates, designs, deliverables, service expectations, and adherence to standards.

• Assist with business readiness, super-user enablement, release communications, and adoption initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, enterprise planning technology, Information Technology functional consulting, or a closely related position.

• Proven expertise in both Demand Planning and Supply Planning processes.

• Experience in functional implementation, enhancement, or production support with Kinaxis RapidResponse or Kinaxis Maestro.

• Solid understanding of statistical forecasting, forecast review, accuracy and bias, demand consensus, supply and production planning, capacity and material constraints, inventory planning, scenario analysis, exception-based planning, and planning master data.

• Ability to translate business processes and requirements into functional solution designs, configuration decisions, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and sustainable support practices.

• Proficient in working with ERP systems, master data, integrations, enterprise data platforms, reporting, and advanced cross-functional planning processes.

• Familiar with the systems development lifecycle, testing, release management, incident and problem management, and change control for enterprise applications.

• Experience managing systems integrators, service providers, or software vendors, and reviewing partner estimates, designs, configurations, documentation, and delivered outcomes.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills.

• Capability to influence without authority, provide sound functional recommendations, balance business outcomes with platform integrity, and drive issues to resolution.

• APICS / ASCM certification, Kinaxis certification, or other recognized supply chain planning or platform certification is preferred.

• Experience in a global manufacturing, agriculture, consumer products, or food and beverage sector is preferred.
