Kinaxis Maestro Functional Consultant – Limited Travel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Act as the functional subject matter expert in Information Technology for Demand Planning and Supply Planning processes in North America.

• Cultivate and sustain a comprehensive understanding of planning decisions, business rules, planning horizons, master data, KPIs, data ownership, decision rights, handoffs, and standard operating procedures.

• Convert business process requirements into functional specifications, solution alternatives, acceptance criteria, and testing scenarios.

• Function as the internal technology expert for Kinaxis Maestro, encompassing planning models, workbooks, dashboards, task flows, scorecards, control tables, alerts, scenarios, business rules, master data dependencies, integrations, reporting, and user experience.

• Lead or significantly contribute to functional design initiatives, reviewing and approving Kinaxis solution designs and configurations.

• Assess Kinaxis product features and releases, recommending their adoption when they deliver measurable benefits.

• Collaborate with architects, data and integration teams, security, delivery teams, and application teams regarding cross-system impacts and enterprise standards.

• Offer functional leadership throughout discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, stabilization, and ongoing improvement processes.

• Create or evaluate functional documentation, process diagrams, solution decisions, configuration documentation, test evidence, release documentation, support procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.

• Provide functional leadership during complex production incidents and recurring issues, verify fixes, and ensure corrective actions address root causes.

• Oversee managed-service providers and implementation partners by reviewing estimates, designs, deliverables, service expectations, and internal knowledge retention.

• Assist with business readiness, super-user training, release communications, and adoption initiatives.

• Maintain functional technology ownership for North America planning capabilities utilized in both the United States and Canada across Run, Change, and Transform activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, enterprise planning technology, Information Technology functional consulting, or a closely related position.

• Proven process expertise in both Demand Planning and Supply Planning.

• Required functional implementation, enhancement, or production support experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse or Kinaxis Maestro.

• Strong understanding of statistical forecasting, forecast review, forecast accuracy and bias, demand consensus, supply and production planning, capacity and material constraints, inventory planning, scenario analysis, exception-based planning, and planning master data.

• Experience in translating business processes and requirements into functional solution designs, configuration decisions, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and sustainable support practices.

• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems, master data, integrations, enterprise data platforms, reporting, and advanced cross-functional planning processes.

• Experience across the systems development lifecycle, including testing, release management, incident and problem management, and change control for enterprise applications.

• Proven experience in governing systems integrators, managed-service providers, or software vendors, as well as reviewing partner estimates, designs, configurations, documentation, and outcomes.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication abilities.

• Capacity to engage effectively with planning leaders, planners, Information Technology teams, and external partners.

• Ability to influence without direct authority, make informed functional recommendations, balance business outcomes with platform integrity, and drive issues to resolution.

• Experience in a global manufacturing, agriculture, consumer products, or food and beverage setting is preferred.

• APICS / ASCM certification, Kinaxis certification, or other recognized supply chain planning or platform certification is preferred.

• Some travel may be required.
