This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Provide strategic sales direction and communication plans for a key Amcor account.
• Safeguard existing business while acquiring new opportunities.
• Implement business and marketing strategies tailored for the assigned account.
• Foster growth in share-of-wallet and enhance account profitability.
• Execute account strategies to sustain wallet share and profitability.
• Navigate account complexities and customer requirements while anticipating future needs.
• Assist in critical business negotiations and influence decisions and actions.
• Utilize knowledge of Amcor products, the packaging sector, and competitive landscapes.
• Achieve sales targets and ensure profitable growth year-over-year for the designated territory.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with customers and engage in proactive, complex discussions.
• Establish collaborative partnerships across leadership, marketing, R&D, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate commercialization and onboarding processes.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, inventory management, quality, and service KPIs.
• Network with industry influencers, co-packers, machinery suppliers, OEMs, and industry associations.
• Coordinate efforts among Sales Management, R&D, Marketing, and Field Service for validation and customer trials.
• Manage accounts receivable with support from the credit department.
• Identify initiatives to address strategic unmet customer needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on technology, product management, and the implementation of commercial strategies.
• Report on sales and marketing performance for monthly management reviews.
• Enhance forecast accuracy.
• Share competitive insights, marketing strategies, pricing frameworks, and product performance details.
• Oversee account planning, pipeline management, profitability enhancements, and churn management using the CRM tool.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales and general management, ideally in the packaging industry.
• Experience in a large-scale business-to-business environment.
• Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and profitability.
• Proficiency in negotiations.
• Understanding of pricing and profitability concepts.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and critical deliverables.
• Solution-oriented mindset.
• Results-driven attitude.
• Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to delegate and achieve significant outcomes.
• Business and financial acumen, including a solid understanding of P&Ls and crafting customer proposals.
• Ability to simplify complex situations, build relationships, and clearly communicate customer proposals, needs, and strategies to internal stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 60% of the time.
