Junior SRE Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee around 30 microservices to guarantee optimal system health and performance.

• Develop and sustain dashboards for system observability and reporting purposes.

• Diagnose production issues and escalate as needed.

• Collaborate with service owners to gather requirements and enhance monitoring coverage.

• Assist in automation initiatives to optimize reporting and log management.

• Contribute to a uniform appearance of dashboards for rapid issue identification.

• Partner closely with senior engineers to enhance observability, reliability, and performance of intricate cloud-based systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an SRE role or a related position (DevOps, Production Support).

• Fundamental understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

• Proficiency in Python scripting.

• Basic knowledge of cloud concepts and contemporary software delivery practices.

• General familiarity with version control systems, including Git.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Eagerness to learn.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices is a plus.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
