Junior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive full-stack features for an AI-driven web application.

• Integrate AI models and APIs for tasks such as document processing, data extraction, and recommendation engines.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement models in a production environment.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest AI technologies and frameworks.

• Construct scalable and dependable backend services to support AI workflows.

• Design user-friendly experiences that showcase AI-powered functionalities.

• Engage in architecture planning, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions.

• Take ownership of feature development from start to finish, coordinating with QA and other teams.

• Facilitate communication across teams to remove obstacles and enhance release processes.

• Share innovative ideas during quarterly planning meetings.

• Participate in hackathons, engineering guilds, and experiments with AI tools.

• Solid full-stack development expertise in both backend and frontend technologies.

• Proficient in Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Understanding of AI/ML concepts gained through coursework, personal projects, or professional experience.

• Practical experience or projects that involve interacting with AI APIs/models, including prompt engineering.

• A strong enthusiasm for creating intelligent applications.

• A desire to learn, adapt to uncertainty, and continuously enhance skills.

• A self-motivated individual with a goal-oriented mindset who excels in autonomy and accountability.
