Junior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and implement full-stack features for an AI-driven web application utilizing Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Integrate AI models and APIs to facilitate document processing, data extraction, recommendation systems, and other related functions.

• Work collaboratively with senior engineers to deploy models into production environments.

• Keep abreast of emerging AI technologies and investigate new application opportunities.

• Develop scalable and dependable backend services to support AI workflows.

• Craft user-friendly experiences that showcase AI-powered functionalities.

• Engage in architectural planning, conduct code reviews, and participate in brainstorming sessions.

• Take ownership of feature development from start to finish, coordinating efforts with QA and other teams.

• Facilitate communication across teams to resolve dependencies and enhance the release process.

• Contribute innovative ideas during quarterly planning sessions.

• Get involved in company-wide initiatives such as hackathons, engineering guilds, and AI tooling experiments.

• Strong capabilities in full-stack development covering both backend and frontend technologies.

• Expertise in Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Understanding of AI/ML concepts gained from coursework, independent projects, or professional experience.

• Practical experience or projects that involve interaction with AI APIs/models, including prompt engineering.

• A genuine interest in creating intelligent applications.

• Willingness to learn, adapt to uncertainties, and continuously enhance skills.

• Self-motivated with a career-oriented mindset who excels in autonomous and accountable environments.
