Junior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain comprehensive product features encompassing frontend, backend, and AI/LLM elements.

• Create user interfaces for internal tools, dashboards, AI assistants, automation workflows, and productivity platforms.

• Construct backend services, APIs, data pipelines, task workflows, and integrations with both internal and external systems.

• Embed LLM/AI functionalities into intelligent assistants, RAG workflows, AI agents, automation tools, classification, summarization, and issue analysis.

• Leverage AI coding tools to enhance development speed, code quality, testing, and debugging processes.

• Collaborate with product, operations, support, engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to grasp user requirements and provide effective solutions.

• Engage in product iterations informed by user feedback, usage metrics, and business outcomes.

• Write clean, maintainable code while contributing to documentation, testing, and engineering best practices.

• Potentially create dashboards, AI assistants, RAG knowledge assistants, agent workflows, backend APIs, data pipelines, and AI-driven automation for Binance’s global blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong programming foundation and a swift ability to learn new technologies.

• Practical experience with at least one frontend framework, such as React, Vue, Angular, or a similar technology.

• Practical experience with at least one backend language or framework, such as Python, Go, Java, Node.js, FastAPI, Spring Boot, Express, or a similar technology.

• Basic knowledge of frontend engineering, including component design, state management, API integration, UI debugging, and browser fundamentals.

• Basic knowledge of backend engineering, covering API design, databases, authentication, asynchronous jobs, logging, monitoring, and service reliability.

• Real-world experience with LLM/AI applications, including LLM API integration, prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents, tool/function calling, workflow automation, text classification, summarization, extraction, or LLM output evaluation.

• Comfortable utilizing AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cline, OpenCode, or similar tools in daily development tasks.

• Strong sense of ownership, excellent communication skills, and readiness to tackle ambiguous challenges.

• Capable of delivering practical solutions with a focus on both engineering quality and user experience.

• Preferred: experience with AI-powered products, internal tools, dashboards, workflow automation systems, data-driven applications, LLM/agent/RAG frameworks, vector databases, observability, DevOps/SRE practices, UI/UX design thinking, personal AI projects, open-source contributions, technical writing, or knowledge sharing.
