Junior Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop, configure, and sustain security solutions on Enea client platforms.

• Keep abreast of the telecom threat landscape and stay updated on relevant security advancements.

• Evaluate customer deployment data to recognize, investigate, and record potential threats.

• Conduct security assessments for Enea clients.

• Address client inquiries autonomously and manage their expectations effectively.

• Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including commercial implications.

• Operate independently on assigned projects while collaborating with regional and global Threat Intelligence teams.

• Engage in scheduled shift coverage, which may include working some Saturdays or Sundays.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.

• Strong enthusiasm for telecoms and security technologies.

• Proficient understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems.

• Basic knowledge of SQL and database principles.

• Familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, and DNS protocols.

• Comprehension of GSM network basics.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Capability to articulate concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Willingness to cover scheduled weekend shifts.

• Preferred: 1-3 years of relevant experience in telecoms, cybersecurity, threat intelligence, network or security analysis, or a similar technical field.

• Preferred: Experience with messaging systems and architectures.

• Preferred: Knowledge of shell scripting or programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.

• Preferred: Experience in analyzing customer or operational data, investigating security incidents, or contributing to security assessments.

• Preferred: Experience in a global, client-facing, or fast-paced technical environment.
