Junior Project Manager – Keet P2P

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Monitor engine development throughout sprints and releases, ensuring that issues, milestones, and roadmaps are up-to-date.

• Facilitate or assist with stand-up meetings, planning sessions, and retrospectives across various time zones, primarily in an asynchronous manner.

• Liaise between the engine team, Keet app/UI developers, and QA to ensure that dependencies are identified early on.

• Compose status updates, release notes, and summaries of meetings.

• Evaluate bug reports and user feedback, directing them to the relevant engineers.

• Detect risks and obstacles promptly, aiding the team in their resolution.

• Oversee internal documentation and procedural workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or a related role; internships and contributions to open-source projects are also considered.

• Exceptional written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical advancements clearly and succinctly.

• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to follow-through.

• Comfortable collaborating with engineers and quickly grasping technical concepts.

• Familiarity with issue tracking and project management tools such as GitHub Issues/Projects, Jira, or Linear.

• A self-motivated individual who flourishes in a fully remote, asynchronous-first team environment.

• Basic knowledge of networking or distributed systems principles such as P2P, DHTs, NAT traversal, and replication.

• Understanding of software development lifecycles, Git, and release methodologies.

• Some experience with JavaScript/Node.js or collaborating with a development team.

• A passion for privacy, decentralization, or open-source software.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices or relevant certifications like PSM or CAPM.

• Experience collaborating across multiple time zones.
