Junior Project Manager – Digitalization, Finance & Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Full responsibility for the implementation of software solutions related to financial accounting and associated processes within public-sector administrations and religious institutions.

• Ensuring that project goals are met regarding quality, timelines, and budget constraints.

• Coordinating with stakeholders across all levels.

• Organizing and leading workshops, training sessions, and acceptance testing.

• Collaborating closely with clients, internal project teams, and external service providers.

• Maintaining comprehensive project documentation and providing regular updates on project progress.

• Managing requirements, conducting risk assessments, and defining suitable measures.

• Beginning as a Consultant with extensive onboarding in software solutions and project methodologies.

• Gradually preparing to take on project management responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in business administration, economics, or public administration, preferably with an emphasis on financial accounting.

• Initial experience in managing IT or software projects.

• Experience in the local government sector is advantageous.

• Familiarity with financial accounting and local government budgeting processes is a plus.

• Understanding of both traditional and agile project management methodologies.

• Certifications such as PRINCE2 or Scrum Master are beneficial.

• Strong communication and facilitation skills.

• A structured and solution-focused approach to work.

• Empathy in interactions with diverse stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel within North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, and Saarland.

• Proficient in German at a professional negotiation level.
