Junior Project Manager, Digitalization & Finance – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Overall accountability for executing software solutions for financial accounting and associated processes within public administrations and churches.

• Ensure project goals are achieved regarding quality, timelines, and budgetary constraints.

• Coordinate with stakeholders across all levels.

• Organize and lead workshops, training sessions, and acceptance testing.

• Collaborate closely with clients, internal project teams, and external service providers.

• Maintain project documentation and provide regular progress updates.

• Manage requirements and perform risk assessments, implementing suitable measures.

• Begin as a Consultant with thorough onboarding in software solutions and project methodologies.

• Gradually prepare to assume project management responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or public administration, preferably with a concentration in financial accounting.

• Initial experience in managing IT or software projects.

• Experience in the local government sector would be beneficial.

• Familiarity with financial accounting and local government budgeting processes is a plus.

• Knowledge of both traditional and agile project management methodologies.

• Certifications such as PRINCE2 or Scrum Master would be advantageous.

• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.

• A structured, solution-focused approach to work.

• Empathy in dealing with diverse stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel across North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, and Saarland.

• Proficiency in German at a professional and negotiation level.
