Junior Project Manager, Digitalization & Finance – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume overall responsibility for the implementation of software solutions in financial accounting and associated processes for public-sector administrations and churches.

• Ensure that project goals are achieved in terms of quality, schedule, and budget.

• Coordinate with stakeholders across all levels.

• Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and acceptance testing.

• Collaborate closely with customers, internal project teams, and external service providers.

• Maintain project documentation and regularly report on project progress.

• Manage requirements and perform risk analyses, deriving suitable measures.

• Begin your journey as a Consultant with thorough onboarding in software solutions and project methodologies.

• Gradually prepare to take on project management responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, preferably with a focus on financial accounting.

• Initial experience in managing IT or software projects.

• Experience in local government administration is advantageous.

• Familiarity with financial accounting and local government budgeting processes is a plus.

• Knowledge of project management methodologies, both traditional and agile.

• Certifications such as PRINCE2 or Scrum Master are beneficial.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

• A structured, solution-oriented approach to work.

• Empathy when engaging with diverse stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel throughout North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, and Saarland.

• Proficiency in business-fluent German.
