Junior Project Manager – Digitalization, Finance & Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Overall accountability for executing software solutions in financial accounting and associated processes for public authorities and churches.

• Ensuring that project goals are achieved regarding quality, timeline, and budget constraints.

• Coordinating with stakeholders across all levels.

• Organizing and facilitating workshops, training sessions, and acceptance testing.

• Collaborating closely with clients, internal project teams, and external service providers.

• Maintaining project documentation and providing regular updates on project progress.

• Managing requirements, conducting risk assessments, and developing appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Beginning as a Consultant with comprehensive onboarding, progressively preparing for project management responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in business administration, economics, or public administration, preferably with a concentration in financial accounting.

• Some experience in managing IT or software projects.

• Industry experience in municipal administration is a plus.

• Understanding of financial accounting and municipal budgeting processes is advantageous.

• Familiarity with both traditional and agile project management methodologies.

• Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2 or Scrum Master are beneficial.

• Exceptional communication and facilitation abilities.

• A structured and solution-focused approach to work.

• Empathy in interactions with various stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel across North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, and Saarland.

• Proficiency in German at a professional negotiation level.
