Junior Energy Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Compute energy savings for program initiatives utilizing engineering principles such as physics, mechanics, electrical engineering, thermodynamics, mathematics, and statistics.

• Engage in energy audits to pinpoint opportunities for energy-efficiency enhancements.

• Draft technical reports.

• Assist in the development of measure specifications for program planning and business development activities, ensuring technical oversight.

• Grasp building energy end uses and the energy implications of industrial processes.

• Facilitate the analysis of energy-efficiency projects by employing various tools and software.

• Deliver engineering calculations, measurement and verification, utility program technical design, and support.

• Direct the design and development of technical strategies.

• Perform analyses to propose energy savings recommendations.

• Create plans and generate reports for client programs.

• Oversee projects and ensure quality control/assurance.

• Keep customers and project teams informed about updates and necessary modifications.

• Emphasize safety in all actions and responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must reside in Michigan.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

• 0-3+ years of relevant experience.

• Preferred but not mandatory: Familiarity with energy modeling principles, data logging and analytics, programming, or other skills specified for the role.

• FE/EIT designation is preferred.

• Must meet relevant DOT qualification requirements, if applicable.

• Must adhere to federal, state, and local transportation regulations as applicable.

• Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is based without employer sponsorship or support.
