Junior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Assist in the administration and upkeep of Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.

• Help ensure the dependability, scalability, and efficiency of cloud services.

• Play a role in the design and upkeep of GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

• Utilize Kubernetes, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, and Helm to facilitate deployment automation and orchestration.

• Create and update automation scripts as needed.

• Oversee system health monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK.

• Partner with senior DevOps engineers to resolve issues and implement best practices.

• Engage with team members located in India and Portugal.

• Primarily operate under India Standard Time while coordinating with the Portugal-based team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering.

• Consideration will be given to internship or project-based experience.

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including compute, networking, and IAM.

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes, Argo CD, Helm, and container orchestration.

• Understanding of CI/CD principles and GitLab pipelines.

• Familiarity with Linux fundamentals and system administration.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with global, cross-functional teams across different time zones.

• Willingness to work during India hours with some overlap with the Portugal-based team.

• Enthusiasm for learning and growing in a collaborative setting.

• Experience with other deployment automation tools is a plus.

• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK is beneficial.

• Proficient communication skills in English.
