Junior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Assist in the management and upkeep of Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.

• Aid in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud services.

• Contribute to the design and upkeep of GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

• Facilitate deployment automation and orchestration utilizing Kubernetes, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, and Helm.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts.

• Oversee system health monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK.

• Work alongside senior DevOps engineers to resolve issues and implement best practices.

• Engage in communication with team members located in India and Portugal.

• Primarily operate in India Standard Time while coordinating with the Portugal-based team.

• Assist in constructing and maintaining cloud infrastructure that supports software development and deployment for a global cloud contact center software client.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering.

• Internship or project-based experience is also considered.

• Practical exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including compute, networking, and IAM.

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes, Argo CD, Helm, and container orchestration.

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and GitLab pipelines.

• Understanding of Linux fundamentals and system administration.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams across different time zones.

• Willingness to work in India hours while overlapping with the Portugal-based team.

• Desire to learn and develop in a cooperative environment.

• Experience with other deployment automation tools is a plus.

• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK is advantageous.

• Proficient communication skills in English.
