Junior Data Engineering Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead the implementation of data products by creating automated data workflows in partnership with various departments within the organization.

• Enhance data engineering processes by introducing improvements and new features within the operational environment.

• Promote the utilization of data products through collaborative initiatives with other data-oriented teams.

• Maintain the production data environment by conducting monitoring and process evaluations.

• Keep abreast of trends and emerging technologies in the industry through continuous learning and research.

• Assist in data architecture with cost management strategies aimed at minimizing resource wastage.

• Provide support to other departments by advising on best practices for data management and handling, as well as aiding in data-related projects and initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or have completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in Python and SQL, with a solid understanding of data manipulation and transformation techniques.

• Familiar with data engineering principles.

• Interest in tools such as Databricks, Data Lakes, or Spark; experience gained through academic projects, personal projects, or internships is encouraged.

• Basic understanding of relational data modeling.

• Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is advantageous.

• Basic knowledge of dimensional modeling and semantic layers is a plus.

• Exposure to DevOps/DataOps practices and CI/CD applied to pipelines is beneficial.

• Interest in or initial experience with pipeline monitoring and data quality (Data Observability) is a plus.

• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, is an advantage.
