Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary reference for Data Architecture on the project to ensure compliance with Joint Resolution No. 18.

• Analyze the current-state (As-Is) architecture, detailing systems, databases, integrations, transformations, and dependencies.

• Outline the future-state (To-Be) architecture, creating comprehensive data flows to satisfy regulatory standards.

• Create blueprints, establish standards, guidelines, and best practices for regulatory data assets.

• Guarantee that requirements concerning data governance, metadata, data catalogs, lineage, quality, security, and traceability are met.

• Perform gap and risk assessments, offering actionable recommendations and development plans.

• Collaborate effectively with Data, Engineering, Security, Governance, Risk, Compliance, and business teams.

• Generate technical documentation to facilitate solution implementation, auditing, and ongoing support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a similar field.

• Extensive experience in Data Architecture within intricate corporate settings.

• Proficient understanding of data architecture and modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical).

• Familiarity with data governance, data catalogs, metadata, data quality, lineage, and traceability.

• Understanding of data integration, ETL/ELT, APIs, and event-driven architecture.

• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes.

• Awareness of security and privacy practices and controls applicable throughout the data lifecycle.

• Capability to produce architectural documentation and technical guidelines.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with various areas of an organization.

• Experience in financial institutions, credit unions, or similarly regulated organizations is advantageous.

• Prior involvement in regulatory compliance, audit, compliance, or risk management initiatives is beneficial.

• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF and the C4 Model, is a bonus.

• Familiarity with data governance, catalog, lineage, and data modeling tools is an advantage.

• Knowledge of data platforms in both cloud-based and on-premises settings is preferred.

• Certifications such as CDMP, DAMA Data Management Fundamentals, TOGAF, or those related to Data Governance and Data Architecture are a plus.

• Experience with data quality programs and enterprise metadata management is advantageous.
