Junior Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to start-ups and scale-ups regarding public funding options, with a focus on the R&D tax credit.

• Assist in the development of funding strategies, manage the certification process with the BSFZ, perform cost calculations, and submit to the tax authorities.

• Compile payroll data, absence records, and other necessary funding information to ensure readiness for payroll processing and project cost calculations.

• Draft and increasingly manage customer communications independently.

• Address inquiries related to submitted data, identify gaps, and clarify special circumstances.

• Aid in cost calculations and establish the assessment basis.

• Keep detailed and precise documentation of project status.

• Collaborate with the consulting contact and the Tech Team.

• Post-onboarding, autonomously oversee multiple client projects across various phases.

• Note that technical applications and project discussions fall under the responsibilities of the Tech Team, not this role.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed university degree, ideally in a business-related discipline such as Business Administration, Economics, Law, or Industrial Engineering.

• Recent graduate or possesses less than two years of professional experience.

• Previous internships, working-student roles, or initial exposure in a start-up, finance, or consulting setting are advantageous.

• Strong numerical skills with the capability to discern relationships within data.

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.

• Basic exposure to finance through academic studies, an internship, or a working-student position is beneficial.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics clearly.

• Detail-oriented and methodical approach to work.

• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn independently.

• Experience with public funding is not mandatory.
