Junior Compliance Manager – Legal AI Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist in the certification processes for ISO 27001, 9001, 27017, 27018, and 42001, as well as BSI C5, SOC 2, and TISAX.

• Gather evidence, monitor controls and corrective actions, and aid in the preparation for both internal and external audits.

• Keep compliance documentation, policies, and records up to date.

• Enhance and develop the company’s knowledge repository, which includes internal documentation and responses to questionnaires.

• Address compliance inquiries from customers and partners, including information security questionnaires and due diligence requests.

• Leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in work processes.

• Stay informed about regulatory changes, such as the EU AI Act, GDPR guidance, and professional secrecy regulations.

• Oversee data protection activities, including data subject requests, vendor and sub-processor evaluations, and DPA tracking.

• Assist in organizing company-wide compliance awareness programs, onboarding training, and self-service resources.

• Collaborate with teams across Legal & Compliance, Product, Engineering, and GTM.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in law, business, information management, or a related discipline.

• Previous internships or work experience in compliance, data protection, auditing, or information security is advantageous.

• Competence in tracking controls, evidence, deadlines, and responsible parties.

• Strong attention to detail.

• A proactive and open-minded approach.

• Capability to take initiative and work autonomously.

• Willingness to accept feedback and explore new methodologies.

• Ability to maintain composure under pressure, prioritize tasks, and produce dependable work.

• Interest in GDPR, the EU AI Act, and security standards.

• Skill in conveying requirements to engineers or sales colleagues in clear, straightforward language.

• Comfort in asking relevant follow-up questions.

• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, spreadsheets, and AI tools.

• Proficient in German and English, both written and spoken.
