This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia, +3 more countries.
• Develop and enhance components of the RAG system under the guidance of senior team members, gradually increasing your independence.
• Create tests and assist in building evaluation harnesses.
• Produce production-quality code across AI, backend services, and data pipelines, benefiting from code review support.
• Incorporate AI components into backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Aid in the deployment of systems to AWS, utilizing containers and CI/CD practices.
• Contribute to the creation of documentation, runbooks, and materials for client handover.
• Engage in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Assist in model evaluation initiatives and analyze and enhance failure modes.
• Gradually assume greater responsibility for components and technical decisions.
• Self-motivated and proactive; you seek clarity instead of waiting for tasks to be assigned.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable navigating some uncertainty, while receiving support from senior team members as you take on more responsibilities.
• Proficient in English at a B2+ level, able to collaborate effectively with distributed, multicultural teams.
• Practical experience in building or contributing to RAG systems, ideally in a production or near-production environment.
• Strong engineering fundamentals; proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Capable of being productive in an unfamiliar codebase with some onboarding assistance.
• Practical experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS, or similar services).
• Willing to develop skills in Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore.
• Experience with containers and CI/CD processes in real-world projects.
• Familiarity with evaluating non-deterministic systems and involvement in test/evaluation cycles.
• Basic understanding of model/agent monitoring concepts.
• Awareness of cost and latency trade-offs associated with LLMs.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs (like Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, or OpenAI) in real-world applications.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in software or ML engineering, with some exposure to production systems.
• Solid foundations in AI/ML and an understanding of common model failure modes.
• Nice to have: experience in financial services, insurance, or healthcare.
• Nice to have: background in consulting, professional services, or customer-facing delivery.
• Nice to have: AWS and Claude Code certifications, or actively pursuing them.
• Nice to have: A2A interest.
• Nice to have: Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Nice to have: Experience in NLP, LLM, or recommendation engines.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
• Nice to have: Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or Kafka.
• Nice to have: Experience in the Claude ecosystem, spec-driven development, or MCP.
