This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Promote BluSynq, an AI-driven solution for front-desk operations, in new markets beyond DockMaster’s current marina clientele.
• Collaborate with a dedicated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to identify target accounts, assess prospect lists, review calls, and enhance meeting quality.
• Evaluate, qualify, or decline scheduled meetings based on established criteria and provide feedback on the same day.
• Independently generate leads through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, and occasional participation in trade shows.
• Conduct thorough research on accounts prior to calls and familiarize yourself with the terminology of new industries.
• Record all sales activities in HubSpot, categorized by vertical and lead source.
• Manage deals from the initial meeting through discovery, demonstration, proposal, negotiation, closing, and signing.
• Conduct discovery calls focusing on missed calls, after-hours bookings, and staff time wasted on the phone.
• Provide BluSynq demonstrations and relate product benefits to time savings and revenue generation.
• Transition new customers to Onboarding and Customer Success with the necessary context.
• Report on tested verticals, objections faced, competitive mentions, pricing pushback, and market reactions.
• Engage in weekly coaching sessions and refine skills based on activity metrics and recorded calls.
• Meet ramp milestones including demo certification, outbound activity, qualified pipeline, first closed deal, quota responsibility, and accurate forecasting.
• Conduct 8–10 discovery calls weekly at full ramp and approximately 25 high-quality outbound contacts each day.
• Maintain a pipeline coverage of 3x, agreed self-sourced pipeline contribution, and high-quality CRM data.
• 0–2 years of experience in a sales, customer-facing, or target-driven position.
• Comfortable with making cold calls.
• Resilient in the face of rejection.
• Excellent and confident communication skills over the phone, via video, and in written formats.
• Open to coaching and eager to implement feedback.
• Willing to collaborate with an SDR by providing guidance and feedback.
• Self-organized and directed for remote work.
• Curious about various business operations and interested in software sales.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Available to work during North American business hours.
• Preferred: experience with cold outbound activities, such as SDR/BDR roles, retail, hospitality, call centers, recruiting, or fundraising.
• Preferred: background in selling to multiple industries or small owner-operated businesses.
• Preferred: experience with CRM and prospecting tools, including HubSpot, Salesforce, or ZoomInfo.
• Preferred: familiarity with marinas, boating, RV parks, campgrounds, storage, dealerships, or similar industries.
• Preferred: interest in AI and automation.
• SaaS experience, a university degree in a specific field, and an existing book of business are not mandatory.
