JavaScript Developer, Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain dependable, high-quality frontend functionalities

• Resolve bugs across various applications

• Take full ownership of features from initial requirements through to implementation, testing, and deployment

• Investigate issues, challenge requirements, and make informed technical choices

• Write clean, maintainable code while incorporating suitable automated tests

• Engage in code reviews and participate in architectural and technical discussions

• Communicate risks, uncertainties, and decisions that require broader input

• Analyze specifications to identify missing information, technical limitations, gaps, edge cases, and enhance user flows

• Collaborate with the backend team on API integration, data flow, and shared best practices

• Work closely with the Frontend Tech Lead, backend team, and Quality Assurance (QA) department

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and maintaining production-level frontend applications

• Experience in owning and delivering frontend features beyond merely executing predefined tasks

• Expertise in Git and best practices for version control

• Strong foundational knowledge of JavaScript and sound engineering judgment

• Solid grasp of frontend architecture along with the ability to make reasonable technical decisions

• Good working knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling

• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress

• Capability to take ownership of testing and ensuring the quality of one’s own work

• Ability to navigate ambiguous requests, ask pertinent technical questions, and advance projects independently

• Clear and concise communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

• Dedication to continuous learning

• Experience with Vue or another contemporary frontend framework, such as React or Angular

• Proficiency in TypeScript

• Familiarity with Docker, Bash scripting, or other command-line tools
