This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Create and implement high-performance, resilient connector integrations and adapters for essential workflows.
• Design distributed microservices using cloud-native methodologies for multi-tenant SaaS environments.
• Develop and enhance data pipelines utilizing REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, and webhooks.
• Engage with synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven communication patterns.
• Influence technical choices for critical subsystems and engage in RFCs and architectural evaluations.
• Guide junior engineers on principles of system design.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing practices.
• Take responsibility for the operational health and visibility of deployed systems.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and SRE teams to implement features and address production incidents.
• Enhance platform reliability and performance.
• Advocate for code reviews, testing methodologies, security enhancements, and performance improvements.
• Contribute to platform infrastructure and initiatives aimed at improving developer experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale, distributed backend systems that meet high throughput and low latency criteria.
• More than 5 years of experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures in a production environment.
• Demonstrated capability to lead system design and engage in architectural discussions.
• Experience in mentoring engineers on design patterns and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical and debugging abilities.
• Extensive experience with microservices architecture, service decomposition, API design, and inter-service communication.
• Practical knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and serverless architectures.
• Solid grounding in SOLID principles, design patterns, system design, and various testing methodologies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Proficiency in Java 8+ with expertise in OOP, concurrency, performance optimization, memory management, Spring Boot, Guava, and Netty.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, HTTP semantics, caching, rate limiting, and error management.
• Practical experience with RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, or other message brokers and event-streaming platforms.
• Strong SQL abilities, including query optimization and indexing.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, and understanding of consistency trade-offs.
• Proficient in Docker with production experience in Kubernetes or other container runtimes.
• Advanced skills in Git workflows and familiarity with GitHub or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or equivalents.
• Capability to write build pipelines, deployment scripts, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Comfort with the Linux command line and understanding of OS-level concepts including memory allocation, processes, file systems, and networking.
• Experience with observability tools like ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Zipkin, or similar.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to function effectively within a distributed remote team.
