This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Design and execute high-performance, fault-tolerant connector integrations and adapters for essential business workflows.
β’ Architect distributed microservices utilizing cloud-native design patterns for multi-tenant SaaS environments.
β’ Create and enhance data pipelines using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, and webhooks.
β’ Influence technical decisions on crucial subsystems and engage in RFCs and architectural evaluations.
β’ Guide junior engineers on system design principles.
β’ Implement monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing systems.
β’ Ensure operational health and observability of deployed systems.
β’ Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and SRE teams to deliver features and address production incidents.
β’ Enhance platform reliability through testing, security hardening, and performance improvements.
β’ Contribute to platform infrastructure and developer experience projects.
β’ 7+ years of experience in designing and building large-scale, distributed backend systems that meet high throughput and low latency requirements.
β’ 5+ years of experience working with multi-tenant SaaS architectures in production environments.
β’ Proven expertise in driving system design and participating in architectural decisions.
β’ Experience in mentoring engineers on design patterns and best practices.
β’ Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
β’ Extensive experience with microservices architecture, service decomposition, API design, and inter-service communication patterns.
β’ Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
β’ Familiarity with Kubernetes and serverless design patterns.
β’ Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, system design, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
β’ Proficient in Java 8+ with expertise in OOP, concurrency, performance tuning, memory management, Spring Boot, Guava, and Netty.
β’ In-depth knowledge of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, HTTP semantics, caching, rate limiting, and error handling.
β’ Experience with RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, or similar message brokers.
β’ Understanding of at-least-once delivery, dead-letter queues, and stream processing concepts.
β’ Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and indexing.
β’ Experience with MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, and awareness of consistency trade-offs.
β’ Proficient with Docker and practical experience with Kubernetes or other container runtimes.
β’ Advanced knowledge of Git workflows and experience with GitHub or similar platforms.
β’ Working knowledge of GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or other CI/CD tools.
β’ Ability to create build pipelines, deployment scripts, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
β’ Comfortable using the Linux command line and understanding OS-level concepts.
β’ Experience with ELK or Splunk, Prometheus or Grafana, and Jaeger or Zipkin.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to thrive in a distributed remote team environment.
