JAVA Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Develop applications utilizing JAVA.

• Collaborate with the client's technical team to ascertain initial requirements.

• Implement best practices in software development and adhere to the Agile team lifecycle.

• Utilize SQL and database tools to design and maintain the back end of a web application.

• Organize and code the application following industry best practices.

• Disseminate knowledge within the team to enhance collective skills and comprehension of robust applications.

• Construct, oversee, and sustain applications that engage with databases.

• Design, execute, and refine database queries from Java applications.

• Write Java code to establish database connections, perform SQL queries, and manage data processing tasks.

• Conduct backend development, data integration, and provide application support.

• Assist the federal client to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of overall professional experience along with a bachelor’s degree.

• At least 6 years of experience in JAVA and JavaScript.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with SQL.

• Proven understanding of contemporary Java, Angular, JavaScript, and SQL coding practices.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a dynamic team environment on development tasks while consistently delivering quality code for team reviews and product owner demonstrations.

• Self-motivated individual able to operate independently and as part of a team.

• Adaptability and the capacity to respond to quickly changing requirements.

• Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
