This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Create high-quality prompts in Japanese across various sensitive topics.
• Generate natural and culturally suitable Japanese-language content.
• Construct realistic scenarios using diverse wording, tone, and complexity.
• Ensure linguistic precision and contextual relevance.
• Evaluate prompts and conversations based on structured assessment guidelines.
• Consistently categorize content following established criteria.
• Analyze sensitive and potentially dual-use information.
• Recognize situations that require nuanced judgment.
• Detect adversarial language and patterns of escalation.
• Identify attempts to bypass established safeguards.
• Assess the impact of wording and conversational context on meaning.
• Determine if Japanese-language content is natural and contextually suitable.
• Utilize cultural knowledge when interpreting wording, tone, and implied meanings.
• Spot linguistic ambiguities that may influence classification.
• Offer clear written explanations to support evaluation decisions.
• Document the rationale for why specific prompts or conversations align with defined criteria.
• Clearly communicate nuanced decisions in written English when necessary.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese.
• Business-level proficiency in written English.
• Bachelor's degree completed or currently in pursuit.
• Strong capabilities in written reasoning and analytical judgment.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Sound judgment in handling sensitive or dual-use information.
• Comfortable applying structured guidelines to ambiguous content.
• Previous experience in AI or machine learning is not a prerequisite.
• Experience in reviewing, grading, or evaluating written or technical content is a plus.
• Background in trust and safety, content moderation, policy evaluation, red teaming, or adversarial testing is beneficial.
• Candidates located in Japan or broader East Asia are especially encouraged to apply, though applicants from other regions are also welcome.
• Engagement as a part-time independent contractor.
• Work must be completed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information of any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
• Fully remote work environment.
