This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
β’ Create accessible test materials, including descriptions for images, for College Board assessments.
β’ Evaluate and modify test content to align with WCAG, Section 504, and ADA standards.
β’ Resolve accessibility dilemmas when the guidance is ambiguous.
β’ Review and adjust test-related content like research papers and scoring protocols.
β’ Perform quality assurance, accessibility, and usability assessments of tests and applications.
β’ Generate reader scripts and braille transcription notes.
β’ Develop and maintain guidelines for image descriptions, authoring standards, documentation, presentations, and tools.
β’ Execute application testing and troubleshooting tasks.
β’ Document workflows and enhance efficiency.
β’ Advocate for users of assistive technology.
β’ Integrate accessibility research, web standards, and user-experience insights into data-driven recommendations.
β’ Represent Content Accessibility in cross-functional strategic discussions.
β’ Educate and mentor colleagues on universal design, accessibility, and accommodations.
β’ 5β7 years of experience in roles related to accessibility, accommodations, technical writing, or assessment content creation.
β’ At least 2β3 years of experience specifically focused on accessibility or accommodations.
β’ Exceptional written communication skills with proven writing or editing experience.
β’ Proficiency in web content accessibility, WCAG, ARIA, and/or universal design principles.
β’ Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
β’ Capability to handle multiple projects independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
β’ Interest in emerging trends and best practices in web standards and accessibility.
β’ Bachelor's degree is required.
β’ Authorization to work in the United States is necessary.
β’ CPACC or WAS certification is preferred.
β’ Willingness to travel 1β2 times a year to offices in NYC or Reston, VA.
