ITSM Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical authority for enterprise IT service management and associated platforms.

• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance platforms such as Jira Service Management, SailPoint, Dynatrace, Active Directory/LDAP, and other related services.

• Design, implement, and maintain integrations among enterprise applications using APIs, webhooks, middleware, scripting, and vendor-supported connectors.

• Develop and manage workflows, automations, plugins, and configuration-based extensions across commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms.

• Create custom scripts, utilities, lightweight applications, and middleware components.

• Convert customer and operational requirements into sustainable technical solutions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical strategies and execute solutions within a secure enterprise environment.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to applications, integrations, authentication, plugins, and workflows.

• Enhance reliability, maintainability, supportability, and automation.

• Document configurations, integration logic, administrative processes, and technical solutions.

• Operate autonomously with significant ownership and independence.

• Travel 10–25% as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Secret security clearance is mandatory.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in systems administration, enterprise application support, systems integration, platform engineering, or a comparable technical role.

• IAT Level II or higher certification, with at least Security+ CE.

• Experience in configuring, maintaining, and integrating COTS platforms.

• Proficient in troubleshooting enterprise application environments, including issues related to authentication, plugins, workflows, APIs, and configuration.

• Experience in integrating systems through APIs, webhooks, middleware, directory services, or automation via scripting.

• Familiarity with Active Directory/LDAP and enterprise identity-related integrations.

• Capability to write and modify scripts or code for integrations, automation, and lightweight tools.

• Ability to independently diagnose complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to independently manage a broad technical scope.

• Sound judgment in selecting appropriate configurations, scripting, or custom development.

• Ability to balance operational needs with sustainable long-term solutions.

• Preferred: Experience with Jira, Jira Service Management, SailPoint, Dynatrace, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Mattermost, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms.

• Preferred: Proficiency in Python, Java, PowerShell, Go, BeanShell, or similar programming languages.

• Preferred: Experience in developing middleware, connectors, API clients, administrative utilities, or support tools.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Docker or other containerization technologies.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Ansible or similar orchestration tools.
