IT Security Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and enhance security and data protection strategies.

• Evaluate security measures for practicality and appropriateness.

• Collaborate closely with development teams, operations, business units, and management.

• Integrate information security consistently throughout the entire project environment.

• Actively contribute to the teams under your supervision in an operational capacity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Residency in Germany.

• Proficiency in the German language at a native level (at least fluent).

• Expertise in information security, gained through relevant training or several years of hands-on experience.

• Strong understanding and practical experience with BSI IT-Grundschutz and/or ISO 27001 throughout the entire lifecycle.

• Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive security frameworks.

• Solid understanding of data protection regulations (GDPR, BDSG, Standard Data Protection Model).

• Background in developing data protection strategies.

• Capability to evaluate the feasibility and appropriateness of security measures.

• Willingness to contribute actively and operationally to the teams under your oversight.

• Excellent communication, assertiveness, and collaboration skills.

• Relevant certifications in information security (desirable).

• Knowledge of emergency management as per BSI standard 200-4 (desirable).

• Experience in creating and maintaining cryptography strategies and crypto inventories (desirable).

• Familiarity with vulnerability and CVE management, as well as SIEM and Security Operations Center solutions (desirable).

• Experience with role and permission concepts (RBAC) and identity management solutions, such as Keycloak (desirable).

• Experience in agile development projects (Scrum) (desirable).

• Proficient use of Jira and Confluence (desirable).

• Project experience within the public sector (desirable).
