This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of daily IT operations, user lifecycle management, and identity and access management for a growing distributed team.
• Act as the primary technical resource and main point of contact for all IT and security-related issues.
• Report directly to the CISO and collaborate closely as their key operational partner on access and security matters.
• Provide Tier 1-3 technical support and address tickets within established SLAs.
• Assist Windows and macOS users with hardware, operating systems, applications, connectivity, printing, email, software, and access challenges.
• Keep documentation, records of common issues, resolutions, and internal how-to guides up to date.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including training, account provisioning, device setup, and access management.
• Perform access reviews, assign roles and permissions, enforce least privilege principles, and maintain access records.
• Support SSO configuration and troubleshoot access to SaaS applications.
• Administer Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 for a remote multi-OS device fleet.
• Enforce endpoint security policies covering encryption, patching, and compliance.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage Microsoft Defender.
• Handle device logistics, inventory, procurement recommendations, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Manage Google Workspace users, groups, and settings.
• Maintain and troubleshoot core SaaS tools.
• Collaborate with the CISO on access-related security requests and remediation efforts.
• Oversee endpoint and identity security operations.
• Develop and enhance scalable IT processes and documentation.
• 7+ years of IT support/operations experience, including roles as a senior or sole IT resource.
• Experience in startup environments as a one-person IT department managing infrastructure, security, device management, IAM, and end-user support concurrently.
• Solid understanding of endpoint protection, identity/access security, encryption, patch management, and security best practices in a remote-first setup.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Defender, endpoint security, patch management, Microsoft Intune, and administration of Google Workspace.
• Proficient in supporting both Windows and macOS environments.
• Experience in managing IAM/access management strategy and the complete onboarding/offboarding process, including ticketing systems and working within SLAs.
• Knowledge of PHI and HIPAA regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff and represent IT to leadership.
• Customer service-oriented with the capacity to remain patient, empathetic, and reassuring.
• Willingness to ship, receive, and temporarily store company equipment at home.
• Ability to work independently, tackle ambiguous problems, and manage competing priorities in a remote setting.
• Must reside in the United States Eastern Time Zone.
