This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.
• Oversee daily IT operations for around 30 Lean & Operational Excellence applications.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and bug fixes in accordance with established service levels.
• Monitor the ticket queue for the tower, generate weekly delivery reports, and drive recurring issues to root cause resolution.
• Take responsibility for change and release coordination while minimizing operational disruptions and ensuring audit-ready documentation.
• Ensure the stability, performance, availability, and compliance of applications in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Plan and carry out upgrades, patching, version updates, and application retirement.
• Gather, size, and define enhancement demand into well-defined, costed work packages.
• Assign approved tasks to internal development teams or contracted partners and ensure delivery meets scope, timeline, and quality standards.
• Monitor operational costs and contracted service expenditures against the budget, notifying of variances and capacity limitations.
• Provide cost, effort, and dependency estimates for business cases.
• Act as the primary IT contact for Lean & Operational Excellence applications among site, regional, and global process owners.
• Implement the tower roadmap and contribute input for the tower.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, infrastructure, and compliance teams.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the internal team; establish priorities, schedules, and performance expectations.
• Manage external contracted resources and escalate commercial and contractual issues as necessary.
• Select, develop, and assess internal and external personnel.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing evidence, corrective measures, and closure of non-conformities.
• Uphold relevant IT and company procedures, policies, and safety regulations.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Practical experience in managing or supporting a portfolio of business applications within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of ITIL principles, including incident, problem, change, and release management.
• Ability to assess and define enhancement requests, including effort, cost, dependencies, and deferral decisions.
• Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, or operational excellence processes and relevant applications is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with regulated/GxP environments, validated systems, and manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience in managing contracted or outsourced resources according to service levels and statements of work.
• Working knowledge of software licensing and service agreements.
• Previous experience within a matrix or shared-service/Center of Excellence structure is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively across different time zones and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in IT application delivery, support, or implementation in a relevant IT role.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience with a team, including direct reports and/or a delivery team.
• ITIL Foundation Certification is preferred.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
