IT Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Oversee CorVel’s Internal Application Team that supports on-premise applications developed in-house as well as various third-party applications.

• Supervise daily operations of the team, which includes conducting daily meetings, managing projects, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring operational excellence.

• Mentor, lead, and nurture the IT team members.

• Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Provide practical technical expertise in the areas managed by the team.

• Eliminate obstacles that hinder the team from meeting deadlines and established service level agreements (SLAs).

• Assess, choose, and deploy contemporary technologies.

• Ensure effective technology adoption and track measurable enhancements.

• Develop and uphold organizational standards to guarantee quality service delivery.

• Operate with minimal oversight to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven management experience leading a technical team with operational duties.

• Familiarity with supporting .NET applications and other Microsoft technologies.

• Knowledge of modern server operating systems and application architectures.

• Experience in applying Windows Server best practices for performance and security.

• Track record of successfully managing projects and adhering to deadlines.

• Advanced knowledge in Windows Server management is preferred.

• Experience assisting with custom applications developed by the internal team is preferred.

• Proficiency in using a vulnerability management system is preferred.

• Skills in PowerShell scripting.

• Strong problem-solving skills along with technical and non-technical abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to shifting priorities.

• Understanding of ITIL and SDLC methodologies and their application in systems administration.
