IT Infrastructure Manager – Cloud Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead and cultivate a high-performing team of engineers specializing in infrastructure and cloud services.

• Define objectives and KPIs, offer mentorship and coaching, and conduct performance assessments.

• Recruit and onboard new team members while fostering diverse and inclusive teams.

• Create staffing plans, establish on-call schedules, and develop coverage models to support 24x7 global operations.

• Oversee on-premises, virtualized, and cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, scalability, and performance.

• Manage capacity planning, patching, configuration management, backup and recovery, as well as disaster recovery processes.

• Promote infrastructure-as-code and automation methodologies using tools like Terraform and Ansible.

• Supervise AWS and Azure multi-cloud environments, focusing on landing zones, IAM, networking, security, and compliance guardrails.

• Ensure effective cloud cost management and FinOps practices are in place.

• Assess and pilot new technologies for secure and compliant business applications.

• Collaborate on secure CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, and GitOps workflows.

• Establish service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs), observability, incident response protocols, and post-incident reviews.

• Enhance runbooks, automation, and standards to minimize issues and improve meantime to recovery.

• Oversee WAN/LAN, VPN, DNS, load balancers, and cloud networking infrastructure.

• Ensure the uptime of integrations between voice/communication platforms and cloud/infrastructure services.

• Implement security measures including MFA, RBAC, encryption, key/secrets management, and vulnerability management.

• Integrate policy-as-code and compliance guardrails while supporting audits and regulatory requirements.

• Provide follow-the-sun service delivery and incident response capabilities.

• Monitor and report on performance metrics, SLAs, and operational KPIs.

• Lead problem, change, and configuration management in accordance with ITIL best practices.

• Identify and execute process improvements.

• Collaborate with various teams including practices, product teams, data teams, Information Security, and global IT groups.

• Articulate technical concepts to non-technical leaders and develop business cases that link technology investments to outcomes.

• Work alongside peer IOC managers to ensure comprehensive service integration.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience managing cloud services and infrastructure in a global environment.

• A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing engineering teams.

• Proficient in data center, virtualization, and cloud networking, including VPN, load balancing, DNS, and cloud network architectures.

• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

• Familiarity with cloud-native services, IAM, networking, security, and cost optimization practices.

• Solid understanding of observability, incident and change management, and ITIL-aligned operations.

• Proven track record of driving process enhancements, standardization, and operational excellence across distributed teams.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Demonstrated inclusive leadership, talent development, and team-building abilities across diverse, cross-cultural teams.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant field.

• Preferred: Experience working in multinational organizations and supporting 24x7 global services.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and CI/CD practices.

• Preferred: Relevant professional certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP, ITIL, project management, Databricks, or security.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Databricks, AI/ML platform enablement, emerging AI technologies, and patterns of enterprise adoption.
