This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead structured discovery initiatives with CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, IT leaders, infrastructure teams, finance stakeholders, and business owners.

• Comprehend business objectives, operating models, risk tolerance, technical limitations, service expectations, and financial priorities.

• Evaluate the current infrastructure, cloud adoption, operational processes, provider relationships, licensing posture, and resiliency capabilities.

• Identify gaps and opportunities within private cloud, public cloud, managed services, licensing, data centers, colocation, and information security.

• Convert findings into prioritized requirements, decision criteria, business cases, and actionable next steps.

• Develop high-level future-state roadmaps covering private cloud, public cloud, hybrid cloud, managed infrastructure, data centers, colocation, licensing, and security.

• Create narratives from current-state to future-state, migration strategies, and phased roadmaps.

• Recommend customer-managed, co-managed, and fully managed operational models.

• Collaborate with provider subject-matter experts to confirm technical credibility, operational feasibility, and commercial viability.

• Assist in solution transitions by documenting assumptions, dependencies, risks, responsibilities, and success metrics.

• Construct provider comparison matrices and create shortlists.

• Assess alternatives across cloud, managed services, licensing, data centers, colocation, and information security.

• Act as a primary resource for Cloud and Infrastructure subject matter on qualified pursuits from early qualification through closure.

• Collaborate with Client Advisory on opportunity strategy, discovery plans, solution positioning, and executive engagement.

• Engage in client meetings, workshops, whiteboarding sessions, presentations, and executive briefings.

• Produce solution briefs, assessment outputs, decision-support materials, statements of work inputs, service structures, TCO and ROI models, and executive summaries.

• Address objections, trade-offs, risks, and competitive factors.

• Contribute to the refinement of Bluewave’s Cloud and Infrastructure practice, including assessment methodologies, discovery questionnaires, sales strategies, reference architectures, templates, and collateral.

• Monitor market and provider trends.

• Deliver internal enablement and contribute to customer-facing thought leadership.

• Manage a personal portfolio of Cloud and Infrastructure opportunities.

• Support pipeline, bookings, and recurring revenue goals.

• Assist in the creation and closure of cloud, infrastructure, managed services, licensing, data centers, colocation, and security opportunities.

• Maintain precise CRM updates for forecasting, pipeline visibility, and performance tracking.


⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience as an individual contributor and trusted advisor.

• Strong understanding of private cloud architectures and operational models, including virtualization, hyperconverged and software-defined infrastructure, automation, orchestration, and platform operations.

• Robust working knowledge of public cloud infrastructure, platforms, storage, networking, identity, governance, resiliency, and migration.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, hybrid and multi-cloud patterns, workload placement, cloud migration, cloud operations, governance, repatriation, FinOps fundamentals, and shared-responsibility models.

• Practical understanding of managed infrastructure, managed cloud, backup and disaster recovery, monitoring, service desk, network, and security service models.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft licensing and subscription constructs, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, SQL Server, and related programs.

• Familiarity with SaaS procurement and lifecycle considerations.

• Understanding of data center and colocation models, including facilities, power, cooling, connectivity, physical security, cross-connects, redundancy, remote hands, and support responsibilities.

• Strong understanding of information security fundamentals, including confidentiality, integrity, availability, defense in depth, zero trust concepts, identity, and shared responsibility in the cloud.

• Practical knowledge of network and cloud security, SASE and ZTNA, firewalls, segmentation, DDoS, web application and API security, SSO, MFA, IAM, PAM, endpoint security, SOC, SIEM, XDR, MDR, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

• Experience supporting or working within Sales, Channel, technology advisory, distribution, or partner ecosystems.

• Ability to comprehend contract constructs, OpEx and CapEx trade-offs, recurring revenue, consumption models, service margins, and total cost of ownership.

• Proven ability to lead discovery workshops, whiteboarding sessions, assessments, and executive readouts with diverse technical and business audiences.

• Strong synthesis, storytelling, written deliverable, and executive communication skills.

• Demonstrated ownership, judgment, and seniority in managing multiple concurrent opportunities.

• Collaborative, low-ego mindset consistent with Bluewave’s Assess → Advise → Advocate model.

• Five or more years in a cloud, infrastructure, managed services, technology advisory, solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, or similar customer-facing role (preferred).

• Experience designing, evaluating, implementing, or selling hybrid infrastructure and cloud solutions (preferred).

• Experience with MSPs, technology service distributors, data center or colocation providers, Microsoft partners, SaaS providers, or security providers (preferred).

• Experience constructing TCO, ROI, business case, or licensing optimization models (preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience (preferred).

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, FinOps, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or vendor-specific credentials are a plus.

• Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools (preferred).

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

• Work visa sponsorship is not available.
