This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee hardware provisioning tasks, including advanced RAID setup and optimization of disk arrays for high-write-volume security applications.

• Set up and verify iDRAC and Lifecycle Controller configurations, establishing firmware baselines with Dell OpenManage prior to operating system deployment.

• Implement operating systems through PXE boot automation or iDRAC Virtual Media, encompassing Windows Server and fortified Linux distributions.

• Design and execute network segmentation using VLANs and dedicated subnets to handle physical security traffic.

• Configure QoS policies on Cisco Catalyst switches to ensure priority for high-bandwidth video streams.

• Manage PoE/PoE+ budgeting and monitoring on access layer switches for devices such as IP cameras, door readers, and security panels.

• Apply Cisco IOS network device hardening practices utilizing ACLs, service restrictions, and secure management protocols.

• Collaborate with Network Engineers and Physical Security Installation Teams to confirm network readiness, activate ports, and ensure device-to-server communication.

• Conduct validation testing, which includes assessing bandwidth saturation, physical layer distance, and latency metrics.

• Create comprehensive As-Built documentation, featuring topology diagrams, VLAN matrices, IP assignment logs, and configuration backups.

• Offer 24x7 technical support, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures for medium-complexity challenges.

• Provide weekly updates on project status and maintain accuracy in programming sheet validations, documentation, and asset management systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of direct experience in enterprise server and network infrastructure deployment.

• Strong proficiency with Dell PowerEdge server platforms, including RAID controllers (PERC), iDRAC configuration, firmware management, and Lifecycle Controller operations.

• Expertise in Cisco networking technologies, including Catalyst switches, VLAN setup, QoS application, PoE oversight, and IOS security hardening.

• Significant experience in deploying, administering, and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux operating systems within enterprise settings.

• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools to streamline configuration management and deployment processes.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of collaborating with technical teams and mentoring junior engineers while operating in a 24x7 support environment.

• Proficient with Dell iDRAC, Lifecycle Controller, OpenManage, and RAID/PERC utilities.

• Knowledgeable in PXE boot infrastructure, iDRAC Virtual Media, and Windows Server and Linux ISOs.

• Skilled in Cisco IOS CLI, PoE management, VLAN/QoS configuration tools, network monitoring, and bandwidth/latency testing utilities.

• Experience with Ansible, Python, CMDB systems, configuration backup tools, and documentation/diagramming platforms.

• Capability to provide 24x7 support in a globally distributed setting.
