IT Field Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with IT teams, senior management, and hospital and regional leaders to assess hospital requirements, address escalations, and ensure seamless operations.

• Assist in departmental and business initiatives by aligning stakeholders, prioritizing tasks, and facilitating effective execution across your region.

• Represent IT with professionalism, compassion, and a service-oriented approach while supporting VEGgies, customers, and hospital teams.

• Safeguard VEG systems by coordinating and implementing operational strategies that ensure secure and reliable data, software, hardware, and infrastructure.

• Partner with local teams to evaluate project plans, finalize technology specifications, and support infrastructure projects, hospital upgrades, and new hospital openings.

• Suggest and implement streamlined hospital technology, best practices, and ongoing IT enhancements, while assisting in the recruitment of Field Service resources as necessary to maintain exceptional support.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in technical help desk or IT support, demonstrating the ability to apply general technology processes, tools, and best practices within a hospital setting.

• Strong familiarity with Apple products and macOS, along with network experience, construction-related industry experience, or support for hospital buildouts as advantageous.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to confidently engage with VEGgies, IT teams, hospital leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders both within and outside the organization.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks or projects, adapt to changing priorities, and remain flexible when timelines shift.

• A self-motivated outlook: reliable, enthusiastic about quickly learning new technology, comfortable working autonomously, and collaborative in a team setting.

• Ability to mentor or coach prospective team members as needed, while also being capable of physically moving, handling, and lifting computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
