This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Deliver prompt, customer-centric technical support to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical knowledge to sales representatives and customers concerning industrial rotating equipment and associated components.
• Diagnose and rectify equipment malfunctions and system failures.
• Suggest assembly, disassembly, repair methods, and enhanced maintenance practices.
• Install NOV FMS products as necessary.
• Educate customers, representatives, and Authorized Service Center personnel on the assembly, disassembly, and repair of NOV products.
• Accurately complete Field Service Reports in a timely manner.
• Travel to client locations for service and courtesy support visits, occasionally on short notice.
• Recognize opportunities for process enhancement using Lean methodologies.
• Travel mainly from Monday to Friday, up to 75% of the time, sometimes on short notice.
• International travel may be necessary 1–2 times annually.
• Perform responsibilities according to Quality Assurance guidelines, work instructions, Health & Safety protocols, training, and directives.
• Report safety risks to the HSE representative.
• Work in collaboration with engineering, sales, and service teams.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical installation/service.
• OSHA 30 certification; NCCCO Rigger I certification preferred.
• Preferred skills in welding, rigging, and forklift operation.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret mechanical plans, drawings, and site layouts.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Experience with the installation, alignment, and commissioning of pumps, mixers, or other industrial machinery.
• Understanding of troubleshooting methods for malfunctioning equipment.
• Knowledge of VFDs and/or PLCs in an industrial context preferred.
• Familiarity with rigging, forklift operation, and confined space entry preferred.
• Certification in welding and rigging preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic skills in mobile devices; abilities in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Excel preferred.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficient time management skills while in the field.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Openness to frequent travel and various field conditions.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Capability to work in challenging environments, including rain, snow, heat, and heights while using a safety harness.
• Must be able to walk and stand consistently; occasionally grasp, climb, balance, crouch, crawl, kneel, and reach.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving wrenching, pulling, and pushing.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Dedication to safety and quality standards.
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and health evaluations.
• Participate in mandatory training sessions.
• Capability in welding.
