IT Business Analyst, Power BI / Fabric Developer – Finance Reporting & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Burundi.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main IT liaison for specific Finance reporting areas.

• Work closely with Finance stakeholders on P&L reporting, balance sheet reporting, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, and operational finance reporting.

• Collect, analyze, document, and critically assess business requirements.

• Take ownership of reports, dashboards, KPIs, datasets, and analytics products throughout their entire lifecycle.

• Identify source systems and data owners; assess data structures and determine integration needs.

• Create scalable reporting solutions that comply with architectural standards and governance requirements.

• Develop semantic models, business calculations, KPIs, and reusable datasets.

• Construct ETL/ELT components, Microsoft Fabric artifacts, Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.

• Quickly produce prototypes and MVPs to validate business value.

• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, user acceptance testing, and readiness for production.

• Keep business requirements, solution documentation, data mappings, KPI definitions, and operational procedures up to date.

• Oversee enhancements, change requests, and report optimization initiatives.

• Collaborate with Purchasing, Finance, IT, external partners, and corporate and regional business and IT teams in a diverse and international setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4–7 years of experience in BI, analytics, finance systems, or business analysis roles.

• Extensive experience in combining business analysis and solution development tasks.

• Proficient in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, DAX, and data modeling.

• Strong understanding of finance and controlling processes.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012, D365 Finance & Operations, or similar ERP solutions.

• Ability to effectively communicate with finance business users and technical teams.

• Experience managing reporting products from inception to completion.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in English communication.
