IP Quality Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review and assess medical record documentation, ensuring coding and abstracting accuracy in line with quality review policies and facility standards

• Employ ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding classification systems

• Examine patient records through facility EMR, scanning technology, or other recognized methods

• Log all reviews daily into Guidehouse's proprietary quality review tracking and trending software

• Address coder rebuttals within the timeframes established by quality review policies and procedures

• Execute related job functions as assigned

• Report directly to the Internal Quality Control Director

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in medical coding or review

• High School Diploma (Relevant experience may be accepted in place of formal education)

• Must possess one of the following active credentials: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CIC, or COC

• Required to maintain coding credentials while employed at Guidehouse

• Must successfully complete the Guidehouse coding competency exam

• Previous audit experience is preferred
