IP Quality Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Directly report to the Internal Quality Control Director.

• Evaluate and verify the accuracy of medical record documentation, coding, and abstracting.

• Implement quality review policies and adhere to facility guidelines.

• Utilize ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding classification systems effectively.

• Assess patient records through facility EMR, scanning technology, or other established methods.

• Log all reviews daily into Guidehouse's proprietary quality review tracking and trending software.

• Address coder rebuttals within the timelines specified in quality review policies and procedures.

• Carry out other related job responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding or review.

• High School Diploma (Relevant experience may substitute for formal education).

• Possession of one of the following active credentials: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CIC, or COC.

• Must maintain coding credentials while employed at Guidehouse.

• Successful completion of the Guidehouse coding competency exam is required.

• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding classification systems.

• Previous auditing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
