IP Network Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation, upkeep, and operation of IP/MPLS network infrastructure.

• Help with testing and validating network technologies and configurations in both lab and production settings.

• Engage in network upgrades, deployments, and documentation activities.

• Diagnose network issues and collaborate with senior engineers to address complex challenges.

• Work alongside network operations and engineering teams to ensure the reliability and scalability of network services.

• Monitor network performance and aid in identifying improvement opportunities.

• Support mission-critical, carrier-grade networks.

• Engage with advanced telecommunications and networking technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in networking, telecommunications, ISP, or carrier Ethernet settings.

• Fundamental understanding of IP networking concepts and network engineering principles.

• Practical experience with routers and switches, preferably on the Nokia/Alcatel platform.

• Familiarity with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, or IS-IS.

• Knowledge of MPLS concepts and carrier networking technologies.

• Understanding of Layer 2 technologies, including VLANs, STP, and LACP.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Capability to work remotely and collaboratively in a team-focused environment.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and advance within a network engineering career path.
