iOS Software Engineer, Consumer Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance user-centric iOS applications for discovering, consuming, creating, and interacting with content and communities.

• Oversee projects throughout the entire development lifecycle, from initial product concept and technical design to implementation, testing, launch, and continuous enhancement.

• Collaborate with product, design, data science, machine learning, backend, and platform teams.

• Convert technical capabilities into user-friendly experiences that yield measurable user outcomes.

• Enhance iOS architecture, performance, reliability, accessibility, developer workflows, and engineering best practices.

• Provide mentorship to team members and lead cross-functional technical initiatives.

• Assist consumer teams, including Core Product & Feeds, Community & Presence, Growth & Engagement, Monetization & Conversion, and Identity & Security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing native iOS applications using Swift.

• Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks and application architecture.

• Proficiency in writing idiomatic, readable, reusable, and testable code.

• Robust skills in debugging, performance tuning, reliability, and maintainability.

• Experience in designing mobile systems and user interfaces.

• Familiarity with evaluating architectural trade-offs.

• Experience in building scalable features that connect APIs to user-facing interfaces.

• Background in experimentation, feature flags, instrumentation, analytics, and product or quality-of-experience metrics.

• Seasoned iOS engineer with experience in building and shipping consumer-facing native applications at scale.

• Knowledge of AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, HLS, media playback, recommendation systems, accessibility, or machine learning-integrated products is advantageous.
