This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Assume responsibility for iOS development tasks and projects utilizing Swift.
• Create new features and applications.
• Acquaint yourself with existing code and maintain legacy systems.
• Design app architecture.
• Plan, estimate, and coordinate software development initiatives.
• Utilize established design patterns such as MVC and MVVM.
• Integrate backend systems through REST APIs and JSON.
• Oversee technical projects.
• Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback.
• Mentor junior developers and impart knowledge.
• Produce and uphold technical documentation.
• Collaborate with fellow iOS colleagues and assist with technical challenges.
• Identify and execute enhancements.
• Monitor existing applications and resolve issues.
• Contribute your ideas and experiment with innovative approaches.
• Minimum of five years experience as an iOS developer; candidates with less than five years of professional experience may also be considered if they possess extensive development experience during their education and have advanced skills.
• Proficient in German, both written and spoken—at least B2 level, preferably C1.
• Expertise in Swift and Xcode.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Experience with client-server technologies, REST, and JSON.
• Background in unit testing, test-driven development, and UI testing.
• Awareness of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
• Knowledge of common standards and protocols.
• Willingness and capability to communicate clearly within a team.
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, Core Data, and SwiftUI is desirable.
• Familiarity with Firebase is an advantage.
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment is a plus.
• Familiarity with the App Store is a benefit.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for pre-arranged exceptional business trips.
• A degree in a relevant field is a plus but not mandatory.
