This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Comprehend customer requirements and deliver wealth and investment-related sales and services to BMO clients or prospects.
• Provide guidance to clients regarding wealth and investment strategies and products that align with their goals.
• Execute sales and service tasks in accordance with established procedures.
• Recognize and refer clients to other business units as necessary.
• Conduct outbound calls and proactively seek opportunities to improve customer experience.
• Remain informed about consumer needs, industry developments, best practices, and regulatory obligations.
• Deliver high-quality sales and service for inquiries, issues, and requests from clients and prospects.
• Investigate to understand client needs and offer advice on unique investment requirements.
• Meet sales objectives with a focus on pertinent investment products.
• Manage transactional outcomes or direct clients to suitable internal business units.
• Elevate complex or unresolved customer issues to senior management.
• Complete necessary documentation following customer interactions.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of investment markets, practices, and trends.
• Integrate relevant marketing initiatives and programs into customer discussions.
• Ensure confidentiality of customer and Bank information.
• Identify and report any suspicious activities related to money laundering.
• Comply with regulatory and compliance standards, including AML, terrorist financing, FCAC, and Privacy Act provisions.
• Handle complex and varied tasks and address escalations from other team members.
• Analyze issues and determine appropriate next steps.
• Implement BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make informed, risk-aware decisions that align with business strategy, policies, laws, and regulations.
• Typically possess 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• A post-secondary degree in a related field is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A high school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
• Familiarity with competitive marketplace trends and product offerings is essential.
• Knowledge of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and services is necessary.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC course / IIROC licensed as an Investment Representative is required.
• Some understanding of Risk Management & Compliance is advantageous.
• Possess specialized knowledge in the field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are important.
• Excellent organizational abilities are required.
