This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Comprehend customer requirements and deliver wealth and investment-related sales and services to BMO customers or potential clients.
• Counsel customers on wealth and investment strategies and products tailored to their goals.
• Execute sales and service tasks in line with established procedures.
• Identify and direct customers to other business units as necessary.
• Conduct outbound calls and proactively seek opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Remain informed about consumer needs, industry trends, best practices, and the regulatory landscape.
• Deliver professional-quality sales and service for inquiries, issues, and requests from customers and prospects.
• Explore to understand distinct investment requirements and advise customers accordingly.
• Meet sales targets centered on relevant investment products.
• Manage transactional outcomes or escalate matters to the appropriate internal business units.
• Raise complex or unresolved customer issues to senior management.
• Complete necessary documentation following customer interactions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of investment markets, practices, and trends.
• Incorporate marketing promotions and programs into customer discussions when relevant.
• Ensure confidentiality of customer and Bank information.
• Detect and report suspicious activity patterns related to money laundering.
• Follow regulatory and compliance obligations.
• Execute complex and varied tasks within established rules and limits, including managing escalations from other staff.
• Analyze issues and determine appropriate next steps.
• Implement BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make informed, risk-aware decisions that align with business strategy and applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
• Undertake broader responsibilities or accountabilities as assigned.
• Typically possess 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• A post-secondary degree in a related field is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
• Familiarity with competitive marketplace trends and product offerings is essential.
• Knowledge of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and services is beneficial.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC course / IIROC licensed as an Investment Representative is required.
• Some understanding of Risk Management & Compliance is preferred.
• Specialized knowledge is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Good organizational skills are required.
• Team collaboration and interpersonal skills are important.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills are needed.
• Ability to adhere to Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing reporting obligations, FCAC consumer provision requirements, and Privacy Act provisions.
