This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate language interpretation between individuals with language barriers to enhance understanding and communication.

• Manage telephone or video calls as needed, providing consecutive interpretation for conversations involving English speakers.

• Swiftly process information, identify sensitive cultural differences, and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.

• Employ appropriate industry terminology while being familiar with standard industry procedures and practices.

• Interpret calls covering a range of topics, from simple to complex, and both non-technical and technical subjects in sectors such as Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.

• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure a high degree of accuracy.

• Ability to focus, maintain detachment from the conversation, and consistently remain neutral and objective.

• Capability to quickly establish personal credibility.

• Proficiency in closely following client instructions.

• Skill in explaining specific cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication, with the client's consent or request.

• Proficiency in reading and writing Chinese characters is essential.

• B2 CEFR English Level proficiency, along with fluency in other required languages.

• Must be able to work from home on a permanent basis.
