Caption Translator – English to German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Convert content from captions/subtitles, documents, web pages, and software into different languages.

• Address cultural translation inaccuracies through Machine Translation Post Editing (MTPE).

• Adjust translations to adhere to a specified word count without altering the original meaning.

• Manage the translation database utilizing Translation Management Software.

• Ensure quality control throughout the translation process.

• Collaborate with various media and translation software.

• Troubleshoot issues related to translation, localization, and cultural nuances.

• Partner with other departments to deliver translation services.

• Incorporate feedback and make necessary adjustments whenever feasible.

• Collaborate with fellow translators and report directly to the project manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in communications or linguistics.

• At least four years of experience in the translation industry.

• Proficient in various Translation Management System tools and software.

• Understanding of the translation process, key terminology, and localization methods.

• Familiarity with localization standards and guidelines.

• Capability to translate written content into a second language.

• Strong skills in translation, writing, and communication.

• Fluency in a minimum of two target languages.

• Ability to perform under tight deadlines.

• Additional certification in Linguistics is advantageous.
