International Web Access Compliance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of international web accessibility and geo-performance in various markets.

• Troubleshoot issues related to DNS, routing/peering, CDN, TLS, IP reputation, and content filtering.

• Design and oversee multi-region CDN, DNS (Anycast/GeoDNS), and hosting infrastructure.

• Track regional availability and performance utilizing tools like RIPE Atlas, OONI, traceroute/mtr, and synthetic monitoring.

• Manage domain/IP reputation, collaborating with ISPs, security, and filtering providers for legitimate delisting and recategorization processes.

• Provide technical support for market entry, licenses, and registrations in partnership with Legal and Compliance departments.

• Establish technical standards, architecture, and monitoring strategies.

• Serve as the senior technical authority, advising the CTO and senior stakeholders on risks, infrastructure priorities, and market readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Network, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering.

• Extensive practical knowledge of DNS, Anycast, GeoDNS, DNSSEC, BGP, routing, TLS, HTTP/2, and HTTP/3.

• Proven experience with CDN/edge platforms such as Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, or CloudFront.

• Skilled in troubleshooting international/regional web accessibility issues.

• Strong understanding of Terraform/IaC and monitoring tools like Grafana or Datadog.

• Experience collaborating with Legal/Compliance teams and conveying complex technical topics to senior stakeholders.

• Capable of making architecture-level decisions and functioning as a technical authority across multiple teams.

• Excellent judgment concerning technical solutions in relation to legal and regulatory constraints.
